This project involved the construction of a DN400 mm and DN 500-mm "Sintacoat" steel distribution main along Warton Road and Ranford Rd, Canning Vale. The distribution main, passing under Warton Rd and 2 side streets was installed by trenchless methods. The road crossing (20 m x DN400, 80 m x DN400 and 50m x DN500) were installed using a directional drill to bore a pilot hole and the steel pipe was pulled back while reaming out the borehole. This operation was carried out under normal traffic conditions without any disruption. The distances involve set new limits for the size and type of pipe to be installed by trenchless means.
