We are presently constructing new Transmission feeder cables from Perth to Burswood.
The trench for the cable is excavated to a depth that allows 14.1 Sand cement mixture bedding to be laid. Each cable drum weighs in excess of 25 ton. The cables are hauled in such a way to ensure that the cable does not exceed maximum pulling tension whilst being hauled into position.
Once all three cables are in place the cable is backfilled with the 14.1 sand cement mix.
We have also bored three x 300mm conduits under the existing rail for the installation.
We are presently 65% complete with the expected completion being before Christmas.
